Bible Study (Friday 22-Sept-2018)

Updated: Nov 17, 2018

The book of Jude

Sanctification - it is a continual purification with the holy Spirit

We are called – we are special, we are set apart and purified

The peace of God is being called when we are in the midst of a storm

What is Common Salvation ?

It reminds us of working out our salvation with great trembling and fear.

We have a duty to defend our faith to those, who are against it

We all have a duty to share the word and spread the gospel to the ones who do not have it.

We cannot use bad methods to defend it. We should be earnest

Vs 4 it says “For certain people have crept unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only master and Lord, Jesus Christ” Jude has had much to say about the wicked words and behaviour of false teachers.

He commands us to remember how the apostles, too warned us about wicked men.

Judgement : The Judgement of ungodly men

This is a warning that knowledge is too special between us. God can do without us. God does not need us (but the vice versa)

When the Israelites had been delivered from Egypt all were destroyed when they sinned by God

They saw God but they continued living in sin and God destroyed them being of selfishness

Even if we live in miracles we should continue living in the fear of the Lord

God destroyed people in Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality, meaning God does not tolerate sexual immorality. We need to run away from it, we need to know that what we are seeing now is not new, God does not accept, tolerate or approve homosexuality

Jesus said pray for your enemies

- Do not be arrogant

- Don’t do God’s work in your own way

- Don’t be disobedient

- We should always forgive, as Christians we should forgive always, if you forgive God hears your prayers.

Apostate: is someone who believed and has backslidden

Paul spoke about these people in Galatians 3 when he said foolish Galatians who have bewitched you that you began in the Spirit and ended in flesh.

God wants us to be contributors, he want us to distant from grumbling, complaining, lust or people who enjoy setting people against each other, who specialise in defaming other, we should not do this!

Prayer life is built up by the time we spent in the word

If you can’t pray it means you are not spending enough time in the Lord.

A blessed day to you all brethrens. We meet again same time on our prayer line tonight.🙏

Genesis 1: 26 ~ Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
