The Lord that uses Weaker things for Victory

Judges 15:9-19; 9 The Philistines went up and camped in Judah, spreading out near Lehi. 10 The people of Judah asked, “Why have you come to fight us?” “We have come to take Samson prisoner,” they answered, “to do to him as he did to us.” 11 Then three thousand men from Judah went down to the cave in the rock of Etam and said to Samson, “Don’t you realize that the Philistines are rulers over us? What have you done to us?” He answered, “I merely did to them what they did to me.” 12 They said to him, “We’ve come to tie you up and hand you over to the Philistines.” Samson said, “Swear to me that you won’t kill me yourselves.” 13 “Agreed,” they answered. “We will only tie you up and hand you over to them. We will not kill you.” So they bound him with two new ropes and led him up from the rock. 14 As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands. 15 Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. 16 Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone, I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone, I have killed a thousand men.” 17 When he finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone; and the place was called Ramath Lehi. 18 Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?” 19 Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi. 20 And he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.

  • Isaiah 8:10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand, for God is with us.

  • May the Lord build a defense system in your life, your body and your family that when things start to go hey way, it will takeover.

  • Let me tell you something wherever there is a mission there is a covering

  • What killed the Philistines was not jawbone it was the power of the Holy Ghost

  • His victory was not in the weapon, was not in the arm; but it was in the Spirit of God, which moved in the weapon by the arm.

  • We can do all things through Him that strengthened us.

    • The ropes were broken with the mighty power of the Lord. The Holy Spirit

    • When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson, his cords were loosed:

    • The bible says, Greater is he that is in you than one that is in the world. It is true, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

    • God delights in using weaker things, because his strength easily manifests through them. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength (1 Corinthians 1:25).

  • It does matter what you are facing, Be of good courage, though you feel like a fainting warrior and pray like Samson. The Lord that delivered Daniel from the lions den will deliver you. The Lord that stood with Shadrech, Mishech and Abednigo will stand with you.

  • Samson prayed to God in this distress.

  • He pleaded that because he was in trouble and the Lord sent him immediate help. With a donkeys jaw he conquered the Philistines. May your prayer conquer all you Philistines tomorrow.

    • God caused a fountain suddenly and seasonably to open.

    • We should be more thankful for the mercy of water.

    • Psalms 21:11-13 11 Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed. 12 For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows. 13 Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power.

    • May the Lord create something wherever you are. No more tears. No more dry season.

  • May the Lord continue to provide you

  • I anticipate future victories in your life in Jesus name

  • You will move from glory to glory

  • Israel submitted to him whom they had betrayed.

  • God was with him; henceforward they were directed by him as their judge.

  • Just as fire devours whatever it touches the Lord will devour your enemies. I see Ramath Lehi – The Jawbone Hill in your life.

  • EnHakkore means the fountain of a cryer or the Spring of Him that Calleth. May the Lord open a Spring for you this week as you pray unto him.

  • There will be no future for the enemy. The Philistines where defeated.

  • Heaven is frustrating the agendas of darkness and wickedness.
