You are Not Forgotten (Ps Mukumba 26-04-2020)

Updated: Apr 27, 2020

Title: You are Not Forgotten

Text: Psalm 9:18;

  • This Psalms was written by David praising God for delivering him and his army from the enemy nations that attacked Israel.

  • His aim was to honor God and not to magnify himself

  • His joy was in the Lord not the great victories that he was given with Lord

  • David wanted to tell everybody about God’s wonderful works in His life

  • This Psalm describes his situation when he was oppressed by his/their oppressors. God gave him victory in all incidences and all perilous unimaginable times in Jesus name.

  • He says, The needy, and the poor and those whose expectation is from the Lord, are never forgotten. Whilst David was going through his wars and running away from Saul, he could have easily thought that he is forgotten

  • Though sometimes deliverance is delayed we should know that; For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)

  • Your delay is not a denial; Our delay is not a denial. It is for the greater confusion of the enemy's camp.

  • Every delay have got a greater manifestation of God's mercy, and a greater breakthrough to our lives.

  • When you are going through some staff there is a moment you feel left out but I want you to hold on my brother. Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

  • When you are in need it is better depend on the Lord because he is dependable

  • People might forget you. Your best friends and those close to you might forget you, but God will not forget you. Your manager might forget you, but God will not forget you because He is dependable

  • It is better to depend on the dependable that to depend on temporary staff that is undependable

  • 2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. It true He gives us comfort. He left the Holy Spirit for us

  • In Isaiah 49:15-16 the prophet Isaiah says “Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

  • Psalm 103:13-14 Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.

  • You might be going through some staff now; I want you to know that God loves you. He is good and He is going to turn your enemies away from you. The Lord will interfere and save you by destroying your enemies and their plans.

  • God will make sure you will accomplish your purposes

  • No Devil in hell or on earth will hinder you

  • God sees what you are going through, and your expectation is important before him

  • In the verse that we have read it says

1. For the needy

  • This means for you to qualify first you have got to have needy

  • Is there anyone that is in needy today. The Lord is saying, “You shall not be forgotten”

2. Shall not always be forgotten

  • It says, you shall not be forgotten. Which means there are chances of being forgotten and being remember latter. Waal

  • Today we need to intreat the Lord to remember us. In treat him in prayer. There are many people that were remembered in the bible after prayer

  • Genesis 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God gave heed to her and opened her womb.

  • 1 Samuel 1:19 Hannah was remembered by the Lord.

  • The King remembered Mordeccai in the book of Esther after prayer and fasting.

  • Genesis 19:29 When God destroyed the cities of the valley, He remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow. The cities were destroyed Lot lived but lot was saved.

  • The list goes on and on. Indeed God is mindful of the needy and He will not forget them.

3. The expectation of the poor

  • As you are listening to me you might say I don’t have a needy. Yes that is good, but you might have an expectation. As long as you have an expectation that is good my brother.

  • Some they say expectation is the breeding ground of miracle. I 100% agree with them.

Your expectation is the starting point of your miracle.

  • It is good to have an expectation and pursue it passionately. Yes!!!!!

  • David says in Psalm 130:5, I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word, I put my hope.

  • If you are expectant you should keep yourself in the word and prayer and sometimes fasting to avoid destruction and an external influences.

  • His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Somethings go out with prayer and fasting.

  • Heaven and earth shall pass away but His word shall not pass away (Matt 24:35).

  • Lamentations 3:25-26, The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

  • Paul says in Romans 12:11-12 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

  • Where is your hope, if your hope is in the Lord you will not be forgotten. Continue to hope and trust in the Lord brethren. Psalms 125

  • Yes it might be painful, but I want to say wait patiently upon the Lord. He will soon wipe out your tears.

  • I have got a verse that I heard from a great man of God and that has never departed my mouth it in Psalms 37:25; I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

  • Psalm 37:7, Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

  • Start to do things that are good in your life.

  • Do not keep any words of discouragement and negativity in your life. Harbor good things only.

  • Proverbs 23:18, There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

  • In Psalm 25:3 the word says; No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame… but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

  • Solomon says in the book Proverbs 10:28; The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.

  • If you have been disappointed before from your natural expectation; I want to tell you that this time you will not be disappoint in this supernatural expectation. Why? Because you have involved God in your hope.

  • If you expecting God in your marriage, family, workplace, church and etc; start to celebrate

4. Shall not perish for ever

  • Your expectation to be rich shall not perish

  • Your expectation to receive healing shall not perish

  • Your expectation to be delivered shall not perish

  • Your expectation to receive and get favor wherever you go shall not forgotten

  • Your expectation to go to heaven shall not perish

  • Your expectation to anointed shall not perish

  • None of your expectation will perish

  • It's time to dream bigger again my brethren. Write down your expectations

In Conclusion:

  • I looked for the meaning of forever to find the real meaning and conclusion on this verse.

  • The word forever in general, is the Greek word aion. Its real meaning is "Age". There are actually two meanings for the word "Age“

  • The word (Forever) means for all future time or for always.

  • 1. "Age" can mean a human lifetime, or life itself. So it can be a limited time which means as long as someone is going to live.

  • 2. "Age" can also mean an unbroken age, perpetuity of time, or an eternity. So it can mean forever and ever.

  • Basically, if the subject is God or Jesus, since they exist in eternity, the meaning of "Age" would be an unbroken age, or an eternity.

  • On the other hand, if the subject is referring to finite human beings, then the meaning of "Age" would be limited to the life-span of a human lifetime.

  • I want you to know that God is not going to overlooked your expectation in the name Jesus

  • God the Father, Son, or Holy Ghost (the trinity) will make sure it is fulfilled in Jesus name.

  • The cabinet of heaven will make sure it is fulfilled in Jesus name.

  • The world may ignore the plight of the needy; crushing any hope that they have, but God promises that he will remember the needy and those with good expectations.

  • Even when others forget us, he will not forget us. He is with us forever-ever (Matthew 28:20b).”

  • You might be going through some staff. I would want to say again hold on my brother. He has plans for you to give an expected end. God is in it don’t worry. Don’t worry. He says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

  • This not the time lose faith. Your faith is critical (important).

  • This is a critical moment, where your positive thinking is most or desperately required in Jesus name.

  • God is able work on everything that you put your mind to work

  • The power is within you. Its within your mind. Start to think positively.

  • Your positive imagination and expectation is very important.

  • Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Ephesians 3:20)

  • Your thinking is your faith.

  • Your mentality is your belief

  • Refuse to be poor, Refuse to be sick, Refuse to be neglected; Refuse to be reject in Jesus name

  • Hebrews 11 ; 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

  • Raise your faith my brother all things are possible

  • Remember, God will never forget the needy. The hope (expectation) of the afflicted will never perish. (Psalm 9:18) in Jesus name.

  • You are not forgotten

  • Your church is not forgotten

  • Your family is not forgotten

  • Your life is not forgotten

  • Your prayer request is not forgotten

  • Your supplication is not forgotten

  • Your healing request and prayer is not forgotten

  • Your job request is not forgotten

  • Your financial situation is not forgotten

  • Your love is not forgotten

  • Your workplace is not forgotten The list goes on and on If you know you are not forgotten keep on writing the list

Amen
